Nestled on the southern-facing slopes, this region is celebrated for producing wines of exceptional elegance. At Sebastiani’s Winery, the family-owned vineyards are meticulously maintained to uphold traditional viticulture practices. Each wine is allowed to develop its unique character, resulting in a collection of individually crafted masterpieces.
Your visit begins with a warm and hearty German meal at the vineyard home. Savor a mixed garden salad with dressing, stuffed pork roast (Spiessbraten), a creamy and cheesy potato casserole (Au-gratin), and fresh German bread. This delicious meal sets the stage for an unforgettable wine tasting experience.
Following the meal, indulge in a guided tasting of a variety of Mosel wines. The history of German wines dates back to the ancient Romans, who began cultivating grapes in the region around 100 B.C. The wines of the Mosel, along with those from its tributaries the Saar and the Ruwer, are known for their rich fragrance, pale color, and light body, complemented by a lively, fruity acidity.
