Halloween at Castle Satzvey

Scary Halloween at Castle Satzvey
The fairy-tale castle Satzvey whose origins go back to the 13th century is one of the most beautiful moated castles in Germany. It has been a family property for over 300 years and is still the resident and ancestral seat of Count Beissel von Gymnich and his family. Throughout the year numerous events like medieval markets, jousting tournaments, spooky witch markets for Halloween as well as Christmas markets will keep the medieval times alive in front of this beautiful scenery.
Who dares to enter the castle courtyard, which lies eerily in the twilight?
Upon arrival at the castle, a spooky ferryman awaits us in the moat surrounding the castle, leading the way to the spooktacular surroundings and a terrifying assortment of monsters lying in wait to frighten and delight you. Enjoy some spine-chilling moments at this moated castle.
Ghostly creatures crawl out of every corner of the extensive castle grounds and terrify anyone who approaches. A special scary highlight is the maze of horrors in the dark castle park – not for the faint-hearted! Who dares to enter and risks being forever trapped within the terrifying maze?
But there is also a child-friendly program for families spread over the railings for those with more delicate nerves. Still watch out, because gloomy figures and monsters will soon be leaving their hiding places.
Throughout the event, there will be musical shows with dances and fire shows on the main stage in the courtyard. To help you keep up your strength, snacks, beverages, and other fortifications are available for purchase from ghostly traders.
