Education & Training

 

The Education Center enhances mission accomplishment by offering advisement and counseling on CCAF, voluntary education programs, and military tuition assistance. Additionally, we offer testing services for PME, CDC, DLPT, and other educational testings. Finally, we are the base source for formal training, TDY-to-School requirements, on-the-job training, and ancillary training.

Military & WAPS Testing


Hours of Operation Monday – Thursday 0800-1500 *Closed on weekends & holidays with no walk-ins accepted

Locations for Testing

Computer-based Testing (Bldg 129 Room 117):
AFCT, ASVAB, CDC, DLAB, DLPT, HazMat, and Log R

Paper-based Testing (Bldg 129 Room 305):
AFOQT, AFRAT, EDPT, Weight & Balance, and WAPS

IMPORTANT TESTING INFORMATION:

Please arrive NLT 15 minutes prior to the scheduled testing session. Parking is limited in front of our building.

All examinees, Active Duty and Reservists, must wear the authorized Uniform of the Day. PT gear is not allowed. You will only need your CAC to verify your identity.

To schedule and/or cancel a scheduled test, please notify the test center. 52fss.fsdewaps@us.af.mil, at least 24-72 hours in advance of your scheduled test date if possible.

Study guides for most tests are available at the library, Bldg 148, right across from the Education Center.

Commissioning Programs

US AF Academy, LEAD – must not have reached 23rd B-day on 1 Jul year of entry, cannot have legal dependents; 10 month prep school consideration for those who have not reached 22nd B-day (prep school attendees stay on AD)

AFROTC Scholarships

    Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Program – 2-year, full-time nursing program while on AD

    Apply for a Commision via OTS Active Duty Enlisted Airmen

    Biomedical Science Corps (Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Clinical Psychology, Direct Accession) – Advanced degree programs, prerequisites and/or degree required; mbrs stay on AD

    Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory ProgramEMDP2 offers a structured, two-year prepatory course that allows talented enlisted military members to complete undergraduate medical school prerequisites and prepare for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). Upon successful completion of the program, the enlisted students commission as officers in theri respective services, and enter medical school at USU or at a civilian institution

    Medical Services Corps – MCS Officers specialize in healthcare, administration, logistics, resource managment, and planning

    Inclement Weather Policy

    In the event of Authorized Reporting Delay, WAPS and Military Testing Centers will resume according to the approved reporting delay notice.
    Example:
    Authorized Reporting Delay of 2 hours: Testing Centers will delay from a 0800 start time to a 1000 start time.
    In the event of a Snow Day, the Test Control Officer will contact members to reschedule when normal hours resume.
