Metz – A French City with a Long History

Bastogne – The Battle of the Bulge (Belgium)

Located in the Belgian Ardennes, Bastogne is world-famous for its role in the WWII Battle of the Bulge. The American forces of the 101st Airborne Division defended this crucial crossroads against overwhelming odds, significantly slowing the German advance.

The town is home to numerous museums, monuments, and historic sites commemorating the battle. One of the most famous moments of the battle was the American reply “Nuts!” when the Germans demanded their surrender.
