Start your day with a guided tour of Castle Satzvey, a stunning moated castle with origins dating back to the 13th century. Still privately owned and home to the family of Count Beissel von Gymnich, the castle has preserved its authentic medieval charm for over 300 years.
Throughout the year, the castle hosts events such as medieval markets, jousting tournaments, Halloween festivals, and Christmas markets—keeping history alive in a truly magical setting.
After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the castle grounds or grab lunch at one of the on-site restaurants.
🏘️🛍️ Bad Münstereifel: Historic Town & Outlet Experience
In the afternoon, we continue to the picturesque spa town of Bad Münstereifel. Stroll through the charming old town filled with half-timbered houses lining the Erft River, and relax in cozy cafés and restaurants.
Surrounded by a well-preserved medieval city wall, the entire town center is under historic preservation. Since 2014, it has also become a unique outlet shopping destination, with stores integrated throughout the old town—combining history and modern shopping in one place.
