Eifel Powerhouse

Spangdahlem Air Base is home to Eifel Powerhaus where there is something for everyone! We offer group fitness classes, intramural sports, boot camps, and more. Our goal is to provide quality programs and services to help individuals stay on top of their fitness goals.

We are closed every third Wednesday of the month for FSS training day.

Reservation link

Must have CAC access to input a reservation.

*Civilians must come in person to fill out a reservation form.

All reservation must be placed at minimum of 48 hours in advanced. All request are not guarantee, you will receive a status email within 2-3 business days.

Please read the Reservation Policies thoroughly before placing a reservation.

Located at the Well-Beats Kiosk

  • Free digital tool that allows groups or individuals to take fitness classes on demand led by virtual instructors.
  • 42 unique courses spanning seven diverse genres from Pilates and dance to total body conditioning and core training.

Amenities

Indoor/Outdoor Track

Outdoor track is a standard, 400m track.

Indoor track is located above the basketball court.
Ten laps equal a mile. 15.4 laps equal 1.5 miles.

*PT Test take priority over track space. 

Rockwall

You don’t need a partner to use the rock wall. You can choose to use our autobelay system or ask one of our staff to assist you.

  • Belay certifications currently not offered at Spangdahlem Fitness Center.
  • Patrons 13 to 15 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian present.
  • Patrons 12 and under are unauthorized to climb the rock wall.
  • All patrons must be able to fit the provided safety harness to utilize, regardless of age.

How to use the Rockwall:

  1. Complete the one-time registration form at the fitness center front desk.
  2. Receive climbing equipment from fitness center staff.
  3. If certified in “belaying”, show your certification to a front desk staff member.
Sauna Rooms

Saunas can be found inside the locker rooms. Saunas are only open during manned hours. You must be 16 years or older to use. 

Parent/Child Area

The Fitness Center offers a designated area for parents with young children to safely workout while their children play.

Children are not authorized in the facility during unmanned hours/parent/child room unavailable after hours.

Daily Use Lockers and Showers

Lockers are for daily use and cannot be rented out.

Showers are free to use and available 24/7. Please bring your own toiletries and shower shoes.

110 and 220V outlets available in both locker rooms.

24/7 Access Pass

Workout any time of the day with a 24-hour access pass. The process is simple: just fill out the registration form at the front desk, receive a short safety briefing by one of our staff members and you are good to go!
Don’t forget to bring your ID!

No one under the age of 18 is authorized during unmanned access.

Fitness Assessment Cell (FAC)

FAC Schedule

We are closed on weekends, down days, holidays, the first 2 duty days and the third Wednesday of the month.

For any PT/PFA Testing questions and rescheduling please contact your Unit Fitness Program Manager.

FAC Testing Hours

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 0800 and 1300.

Tuesday: 1.5 run (6 laps)/2km walk(5 laps) on Outdoor Track (depending on weather conditions)

Wednesday: 1.5 run (15.35 laps)/2km walk(12.76 laps) on Indoor Track

Thursday: HAMR Testing only

Saber Fit (FIP)

This class is designed to help members on the verge of failing and/or who have failed their Physical Fitness Assessment.

Enrollment into the Saber Fit is mandatory for members within 10 days of failure.
