It has been family property for over 300 years and is still the residence and ancestral seat of Count Beissel von Gymnich and his family. Throughout the year numerous events like medieval markets, jousting tournaments, spooky witch markets for Halloween as well as Christmas markets will keep the medieval times alive in front of this beautiful scenery.

Experience medieval market hustle and bustle with over seventy merchants from various guilds, storytellers, minstrels and jugglers, large knight camps and last but not least proud knights on their warhorses.
Some refreshing drink and homemade delicacies invite you to refresh yourself afterwards.

The Knights of Satzvey Castle are a team of riders, actors and stuntmen. Under the name ‘Die Ritter der Burg Satzvey’ the team has specialized in medieval knight tournaments. Here we show a balanced mixture of captivating theater and a rousing action show.
