Manderscheid to Himmerod Abbey Hike

Join ODR for a day of challenging hiking as we walk from the Manderscheid Castles to Himmerod Abbey. The trip begins early morning with a shuttle to the town of Manderscheid. From there we will check out the Upper Castle and then begin our hike to the Abbey along the Lieser River. After a full day of hiking we will arrive at the Abbey, perhaps in time for Kaffee und Kuchen.

This is a hike for experienced walkers – NOT for those looking for an easy stroll in the woods. Participants must be in good shape and will need to carry enough water and food to last the day. Total distance will be around 12 miles with several steep hills along the way.

Ages 14 and up. Trip includes transportation and guide. $20.
